The Trans-Pacific Partnership (TPP) is poised to become the largest Free Trade Agreement in U.S. history, and the opportunity to influence or derail it is now.<\/p>\n

Senator Wyden has been outspoken about the lack of transparency in the TPP negotiating process, arguing that,\u00a0“The majority of Congress is being kept in the dark as to the substance of the TPP negotiations, while representatives of U.S. corporations \u2013 like Halliburton, Chevron, PHRMA, Comcast and the Motion Picture Association of America \u2013 are being consulted and made privy to details of the agreement.”<\/em>\u00a0 But the Senator still needs to hear from constituents about how past Free Trade Agreements have affected jobs, the environment, public health and democracy \u2014 and what we expect from him and other elected officials as new trade policy is created.<\/p>\n

The Oregon Fair Trade Campaign and our labor and environmental partners, as well as a variety of corporate lobbyists, will be giving short presentations during Monday’s event.\u00a0 We need you there to ask questions, make comments and demonstrate your support for a new model for international trade.\u00a0<\/strong><\/em><\/p>\n
