      The percentage of Americans mentioning jobs or unemployment as the nation’s most important problem is double today what it was a year ago<\/a> (22% vs. 11%) and now nearly ties mentions of the economy in general as the perceived top problem. Assessments of the job market are bleak and have been so for a long time. Only 9% of Americans say now is a good time to find a quality job<\/a>. Gallup’s Job Creation Index is essentially the same now as it was when Obama took office<\/a>, with no sign of meaningful job growth.<\/p>\n
