The Trans-Atlantic Free Trade Agreement (TAFTA) is a trade and investment pact currently under negotiation between the United States and the European Union. \u00a0Like any new trade agreement, TAFTA has the potential to contribute to the creation of a more just and sustainable global economy, but doing so would require a major shift in direction from past and pending trade policies championed by the Obama administration. \u00a0Without such a shift, TAFTA presents significant risks to the environment, consumer safety, food sovereignty, financial regulations and more. \u00a0Citizens Trade Campaign’s initial public comments on TAFTA are\u00a0online here<\/a>.<\/div>\n
