Senate Finance Committe Chair Orrin Hatch (R-UT) is saying he wants to reintroduce Fast Track legislation for the Trans-Pacific Partnership (TPP)\u00a0this month<\/b><\/i>\u00a0\u2014 right after Members of Congress return from the Presidents Day recess.\u00a0 Now’s the time to\u00a0tell Congress: no Fast Track for the TPP!<\/b><\/a><\/p>\n

Below is a list of rallies, Town Halls and other events against Fast Track<\/b>\u00a0taking place throughout the country this month. \u00a0Please join us at them, and help spread the word.<\/p>\n

As you know, leaked documents<\/a> suggest the TPP would have disastrous affects on the economy, public health and environment here in the United States and beyond.\u00a0 Fast Track would allow the TPP and other harmful trade agreements to be rushed through Congress, circumventing ordinary review, amendment and debate procedures.<\/p>\n

The corporations behind the TPP are now going all-out in support of Fast Track, with teams of lobbyists trolling the halls of Congress and applying as much pressure as they can.\u00a0 When Members of Congress are back home, in-district for the Presidents Day recess (from February 14 to 23) it’s\u00a0absolutely critical<\/b><\/i>\u00a0that they hear from you and other constituents.<\/p>\n

If there isn’t an event in your community, you can\u00a0organize one and tell us about it<\/a>\u00a0and\/or\u00a0email your Congress members now<\/a>.\u00a0 (In fact, email them now even if there is an event in your community!) \u00a0If we all work together, we can win.<\/p>\n
