We\u2019re asking you to please\u00a0visit your U.S. Representative\u2019s local district office over the November Congressional Recess (Nov. 17 – 27) to deliver a factsheet about local NAFTA impacts<\/span><\/a> and\u00a0a letter with our NAFTA demands<\/a><\/span>.<\/strong><\/h3>\n

This is timed with the next round of NAFTA negotiations taking place in Mexico City starting November 17th, and is in solidarity with the \u201cInter-Continental Days of Action on NAFTA\u201d also taking place at that time.<\/p>\n

We need to push policymakers to embrace our demands for a NAFTA replacement now \u2014 while it still makes a difference.<\/p>\n

Here\u2019s what we need you to do\u2026<\/p>\n

1.)\u00a0PICK A DATE & LET US KNOW IT<\/strong>: \u00a0Pick a date and time to to drop by your U.S. Representative\u2019s local office, and fill out this form to let us know when you\u2019re going<\/span><\/strong><\/a>. \u00a0You can find your Rep\u2019s name online here,<\/a> and visit their website to find their local office addresses. \u00a0We recommend going on Friday, November 17th if you\u2019re able \u2014 but any time that works for you this month is fine. \u00a0Recruit some friends and colleagues to join you if you\u2019re able, or go alone. \u00a0Any type of in-person visit is very valuable.<\/p>\n

2.) PREPARE YOUR MATERIALS<\/strong>: \u00a0Scroll down on this page to download and print your state-specific NAFTA factsheet<\/a>, a template letter to your Congressmember<\/a> and any other materials you\u2019d like to bring along. \u00a0Be sure to edit the template letter to put in your Congressmember\u2019s name and your contact information. \u00a0You\u2019ll want to deliver those materials during your visit. \u00a0If you\u2019ve been collecting postcards or petition signatures, you should bring those, too.<\/p>\n

3.) CONDUCT THE VISIT<\/strong>: \u00a0Be friendly! \u00a0Introduce yourself to the receptionist and ask if you can speak with the District Director for a minute to deliver a letter about NAFTA.<\/p>\n
